Hi. It’s been a while since I posted anything. I’ve been doing a lot of different things like working on book 2 of the Lexi Series and book 3 as well. Book 2 is back from the editor and is being reread for proofreading mistakes. I may make some changes but not anything grand. I am quite content with how book 2 has shaped up.
When I’m not writing and working on either of the two books, I like to spend my time reading. Usually, I am a slow reader unless it’s one of those books that I can’t put down from the moment they are started. For a while now, I’ve been noticing that my reading has been more on my tablet than in physical books. Don’t get me wrong, I love the feel of the physical book and enjoy reading that way but there’s something about reading on a tablet that makes it easier.
For one, I am able to carry more than one book with me when I travel. This is important to me because I can’t always predict what I will want to read after I finish a book. Sometimes I may be in the mood for a romance or thriller. Other times I opt for a mystery. Having a variety of choices makes it easier to transition from one book to the next. Another benefit to the tablet is that I don’t have to wait to get the book. Most times the book will download within minutes.
One thing that I love about my tablet is that I have the app for the Kindle and another for the Nook. Therefore, I am able to read from either app the books that are downloaded. I like to use the Kindle more often because it gives me a lot more options for free books. Being a Prime member, I also get free selections every month, which is always welcome. To find free books on Amazon, either a search is done or Bookbub is a favorite for downloads.
As you can see, there are many reasons to love the tablet over the physical book but I must admit there is nothing like the experience of holding that physical book in your hands. That’s how I’ve read most of my life. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I got into reading on a tablet. However, the tablet will never substitute the physical book for me despite the ease of use.
The tablet that I own is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. There are a lot of models but the one I own is eight inches more or less, has wi-fi, and was obtained through a promotion. If you are interested in more information on the tablet, I have provided a link to a similar one on Amazon. It is not a heavy tablet, fits in most bags, and it goes with me practically everywhere.
